Michael O’Meara’s interest in the political system began at an early age when state legislators decided to significantly cut the special education programs that his brother, Matthew, needed due to physical disabilities. Seeing the families and educators come together to protect those in need inspired him to pay attention and get involved.
Michael graduated from Grand Valley State University with degrees in Philosophy and Political Science. He has worked as campaign manager for two successful statewide campaigns for University of Michigan Regent and the Michigan Supreme Court, was the Director of Digital Marketing for The Sam Bernstein Law Firm for four years, and recently worked for a couple years doing public & media relations for Macomb County, Michigan.
While Michael enjoys working in the political sphere and reading political biographies, he also enjoys time away by writing and recording music, playing with his dog, and growing vegetables in his garden.
