Angela’s commitment to ensure leaders crystallize goals, cultivate a supportive culture and mobilize teams to conquer their mission underpins her work as the Chief Operations Officer. She honed her leadership skills in Flint, MI as an organizer on the 2008 Obama presidential campaign and at the highest level — The White House where she served in the Obama administration for seven years.
Angela’s first role at the White House was lead purchaser for the White House complex where she managed a portfolio of suppliers and vendors while balancing budget constraints. In her second role at the White House, Angela was a member of the senior management team in the Executive Residence where she worked managing staff, logistics, operations, access, and the needs of the President and First Family. After five years in that capacity she concluded her political appointment as the first Leadership Development Director at the U. S. Department of Education. In this role she was an internal coach and successfully created progaming to positively shape the culture to retain staff until the end of the administration.
Angela has served in management positions, overseeing logistics, operations, and staff in various capacities. She carries a unique perspective to developing leaders and navigating the politics of varied organizational structures, thanks to her nearly two decades of combined, diverse experiences in corporate, government, political, and entrepreneurial sectors. She is extremely passionate about creating workplaces that engage and empower employees personally and professionally.
Favorite pastimes for Angela include enjoying brunch, the beach, and all things Oprah. Angela earned a Bachelor’s in Finance and MBA from Winthrop University, and a Master’s in Education & Human Development from The George Washington University. She is also a certified ICF Coach.
