CalEITC4Me is a public-private partnership to spread awareness of the first-ever state Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) that puts more money into the pockets of hundreds of thousands of Californians. As CalEITC4Me became a national leader in EITC outreach over the last few years, we designed a report documenting their successful results.
While the primary audience for this piece was activists, publicists, lobbyists, politicians, and the like seeking ways to reduce poverty nationwide, one of the main goals was to convince more states to introduce the EITC at the state level, since only 29 states currently provide it to their citizens. Another key objective was to increase awareness of the EITC within California since only a portion of people who qualify actually apply and because more people have become eligible in recent years—now nearly 2 million working families.
We’ve also helped the CalEITC4Me team with video, social graphics, flyers, and ads in a variety of languages (see below).
