CMG Values Part 2: Test, Fail, Succeed
In our first Values blog post, we discussed our commitment to quality work. We’re devoted to helping our clients succeed, doing our work effectively, and getting results—but we don’t always achieve the results we hope for, and it takes hard work and dedication to turn setbacks into success stories.
One strategy we use to make sure we continue to learn, and to keep going when we’re discouraged, is by following this mantra: Test, fail, succeed.
We try to learn from everything we do. As a team, we take time each week to look back at past projects and discuss what succeeded, what didn’t work so well, and how we can do things differently to achieve even better results. We make a point to compile our previous projects into case studies so we can review past work at a glance. Reviewing our results—from projects for ourselves and for clients—helps us to better understand what we do and learn how to strategize for more effective results in the future.
Working in such a new, growing, and ever-changing field requires us to continually try new things. Newly developed tools, outside-the-box strategies, and bold, experimental creative are parts of our day-to-day—so, in addition to staying informed, we find it necessary to take risks in order to keep up the high quality of work we pride ourselves on.
Failure is sometimes a necessary step in this process, and we understand that doing a good job requires being fully engaged in creating, tracking, reviewing, and sometimes trying again. Our test, fail, succeed attitude enables our team to boldly take risks, persevere through discouraging results, and always press on toward success.
